Temperatures have finally dipped below 100 degrees and that means it is officially fall in Texas, ya’ll. And what’s fall without grabbing the kids and headed out to pick out some pumpkins for your porch? Here are our favorite pumpkin patches in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, from church parking lots to family farms. Most even include extra fall fun festivities like petting zoos, mazes, hayrides and more.
1. Blase Family Farm
- Location: Rockwall
- Cost: $2 to $30
- Dates: September 23 to October 30
Enjoy fall at this family farm that features way more than just your average pumpkin patch. In addition to picking out the perfect pumpkin, there is a petting zoo, hay maze and fresh pumpkin pies for sale. The farm asks that you sign up for your visit so that they can accommodate all guests as best as they can.

2. Cobbins Family Pumpkin Patch
- Location: Sanger
- Cost: $8 to $12
- Dates: Opens September 30; weekends only
This family-run pumpkin patch provides a great environment to pick out the perfect pumpkin with your family. In addition to pumpkins, there is also a hay maze, toddler village, bounce house, sand bit, lawn games and more.

3. Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
- Location: East Dallas
- Cost: $12 to $20 (pumpkins can be purchased separately)
- Dates: September 16 to November 5
Autumn at the Arboretum is one of the most beloved outdoor traditions in Dallas. This 18th annual event features 100,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash in addition to 150,000 fall plants.

4. Dallas Farmers Market
- Location: Downtown Dallas
- Cost: Free to stroll, prices vary
- Dates: Now through October 31
There are more than 25 different types of pumpkins to pick at this urban pumpkin patch located inside The Shed. On October 8, in celebration of Texas Pumpkin Day, there will be arts and crafts for the kiddos and train rides from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

5. Halls Pumpkin Farm and Corn Maze
- Location: Grapevine
- Cost: $10 to $15 for admission + pumpkin price varies by size (cash only)
- Dates: September 29 to October 31
We love this working farm because it’s one of the few where you can pick your pumpkin off the vine. Not your thing? They do have some gourds pre-picked and situated in different vignettes around the farm. There is also a corn maze, hayride, and various farm animals to pet.

6. Lola’s Local Market
- Location: Melissa
- Cost: Parking, $5 activities range from $1 to $5
- Dates: September 23 to October 31
This is one of those places that you go for the pumpkins and then stay for the amazing fresh selection of yummies (the spinach and eggs are firm favorites). In addition to pumpkins of all kinds, they also have pumpkin paintings, pony rides, face painting and even a hayride.

7. Pumpkins on the Prairie
- Location: Frisco
- Cost: Free admission
- Dates: October 1 to 31
Grace Avenue United Methodist Church brings back the family fun with games and a hay maze in addition to pumpkins for purchase. There is an epic fall festival on Sunday, October 29 from 4 to 6 p.m.

8. Pumpkin Nights Festival
- Location: Arlington
- Cost: $12 to $20
- Dates: September 21 to October 30
This epic display of 7,500 pumpkins is always a DFW delight that allows for you to travel through different spooky lands such as Pirate Cove, Monster Mash, Neon Reef, Forbidden City and more. You are invited to wear your Halloween costume and really get into the spirit of the season.

9. St. James Pumpkin Patch
- Location: Northeast Dallas
- Cost: Free admission, prices vary by pumpkin size
- Dates: October 1 to October 31
Lake Highlands has been lucky enough to land this pumpkin patch for 25 years now. Here you can find pumpkins of all sizes and shapes with all proceeds benefiting the parish’s youth activities. Want to volunteer? This patch is also looking for helpers to work the patch.

10. Yesterland Farms
- Location: Canton
- Cost: Admission $17 to $28 (pumpkins range from $1 to $20)
- Dates: Weekends September 23 to November 5
If you are in the mood for a little bit of an adventure, head out to Canton for a pumpkin patch that features thousands of pumpkins. This is quite the fall festival location with a corn maze, fireworks, pig races, trick or treating, and a spooktacular evening that is sure to shock and delight your older kids.
